La roca labrada de Saywite se encuentra a unos 12 kilómetros
al nor-este de Abancay, capital del Departamento de
Apurímac. La enorme roca tiene una altura superior a los 2.2
metros. Da la impresión de ser una maqueta para planificar
una ciudadela. Es un misterio cómo fue
trasladada a ese lugar. Los huecos en los bordes pueden ayudar a explicar esto.

The carved rock of Saywite lies at about 7 miles northeast
of Abancay, capital city of the Department of Apurímac. The
enormous rock is more than seven feet high. It
seems to be a model for planning a citadel, similar in some
respects to Machupicchu. It is a mystery how it has been
moved to its present location. The holes in the sides could
have been used for this. A
good picture that shows a guide next to it gives a clear
indication of its great size. |
